Porridge for diner

Last night we had Porridge for diner. Good stuff! Porridge - singer Annemarie (Amie) and guitarist Ton - treated us to a couple of very nice songs. Ton turned out to be a smoothly playing guitarist with a very distinctive style, ranging from moody fingerpicking to catchy rock-riffs. Sounds great. Amie is a trained singer with a warm sounding voice and a very professional presentation. They played their complete repertoire of melodic singer/songwriter songs, including some new ones. The stories are as much varied as the music. I heard things like a little yellow man, a folding bike and a supermarket. The audience even asked for an encore. So if you are interested, on the 8th of April there will be another chance to enjoy Porridge, at Lokaal Vredebreuk. Be there!
