Bernard Brogue, Davie Lawson and Jeroenorama in Lokaal Vredebreuk

Bernard Brogue belongs to the British ‘school’ of singer-songwriters like John Martyn, Nick Drake and Allan Taylor.

"Singer-songwriter Bernard Brogue travels frequently between Holland and Scotland and is very much appreciated in the venues there. The album Escape the day reveals why. Especially if Bernard's sings with his warm voice about the pink moon there is a reference to Nick Drake. The absolutely beautiful melodies in which you can hear influences of pop and jazz are more lightfooted though, which makes he chooses more for the style of Luka Bloom.
Although, this remains spherical music for late in the evening."
(Platomania nov. 2006)

All sorts of ghosts walk hand in hand with Davie’s music, as his intriguing songs draw influences from early blues and rock and roll to a whole roster of past and present writers. Like some modern day Dock Boggs for Bright Eyes fans, or a Kevin Coyne for Arctic Monkeys kids, Davie Lawson is no heart-on-the-sleeve-troubadour, or go-get-the-girls-fashionista.

Jeroenorama played in Murphys Law a few months ago, and believe me, he's great

Its another class line-up tonight, so if I was you I would get myself down there at 9pm
