Lokaal Vredebreuk - Eva-Louise WIlliams, Brit and Gaya

Eva-Louise Williams is a Kiwi folksinger who has been writing songs, poetry and stories since a young age. Although her influences are Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, among others, her lyrics are very personal. She plays guitar in the finger-picking style

Gaya sings, plays the piano, writes, dan
ces, and acts. Gaya’s music is atmospheric and personal. It stems from her will to express herself. To understand, and to be understood. Her performances are intimate and intense and should be, if for nothing else ‘be appreciated for their sincerity’, as she puts it herself. Gaya is a regular performer at the weekly open mike sessions in Sappho, organized by the Amsterdam Singer/songwriter Guild (ASG). She also organizes a female singer/songwriter evening here as well, called Girls n' Strings. This succesful evening has already seen its fourth edition.

Currently, Gaya is busy with recording. She has a part in the Dutch sitcom 'Mengelmoes', which is shooting at the moment. She has also written the soundtrack for it. For the rest of her time, Gaya has decided to concentrate on studio recordings of her music.

Brit is a young singersongwriter, she is busy working on her first CD with Pim Karhof. As well as performing solo, she also sings for the band Formica
