Pien Feith

Pien Feith will be performing live in Savanna on August 10! Show starts at 7.30pm and entry is free

Pien Feith is a young and talented singersongwriter from Utrecht, The Netherlands. She started playing her first shows in small bars and living rooms in ’04. After self-releasing her first EP(a small collection of 4-track recordings), she got enough attention from the press and other critical listeners to do more and bigger shows than before. In less than a year time, she played with acts she normally only listens to at home. She played with acts such as Cocorosie, Vollmar and Great Lake Swimmers.

Live, you can hear influences from bands like Sonic Youth, Cat Power either/or The Black Heart Procession(with a female singer, that is). Oh, and ofcourse you can hear her passion for late ‘50s female singers in her music.

Pien and her band just finished recording songs for her forthcoming album.

As you will notice from the agenda on the right hand side of the page, there is more starting to happen! Thursday nights in Savanna are a go - there will be an open mic session once a month, and on other Thursdays you will find various members of the guild and semi-acoustic bands supplying entertainment. Savanna can be found at Prins Hendrikplein 10, and they have a restaurant as well. We hope to see you along at one of the nights very soon!

Kat Leese

Kat Leese was born in New Zealand, and moved to Holland in 2000. She has played with her band Katbite, and as a solo performer, in more than 100 different venues. Kat's songs are distinctive, and tend to cover less typical songwriting subjects. The mix of punk influenced pop-rock and singersongwriter leaves an impression wherever she goes.
